Four Arrested in Joint Police Raid in Jashore, Including Chattogram Top Criminal ‘David Imon’

Chittagong’s notorious and top terrorist Mobarak Hossain alias ‘David Emon’ (25) has been arrested in a special operation by the police and DB in Jessore. Three of his associates were also arrested during the operation.

They were arrested from Jhumjhumpur area under Jessore Kotwali police station at around 3:45 am on Wednesday (July 29). The joint operation was conducted by nine teams from Jessore District Detective Branch (DB) and Kotwali Model Police Station.

According to police sources, based on a request from the Chittagong District Police and after a secret intelligence tip-off, a smart team of Jessore and Chittagong District Police set up a check post in the Jhumjhumpur area. At that time, the police were able to arrest David Emon and his three associates while they were trying to flee to India. After the initial legal process, they were handed over to the Chittagong District Police.

The other three arrested accomplices are Al Islam Alif alias Tamal (25) of Jurain area of ​​Shyampur police station in Dhaka, Md. Shamim (28) of Manoharganj in Comilla and currently a resident of Motijheel, and Md. Safayet Hossain (28) of Sonaimuri in Noakhali and currently a resident of Golapbag area of ​​Jatrabari in Dhaka.

Confirming the incident, Jessore Superintendent of Police Syed Rafiqul Islam said that the joint operation was conducted based on intelligence information. Initial interrogation revealed that the accused were trying to escape to India using the Jessore border.

It is worth mentioning that Mobarak Hossain alias David Emon, son of the deceased Md. Musa of Kanchannagar village in Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong, has several serious criminal cases including murder and extortion filed in various police stations including Chittagong. The news of the arrest of this top terrorist and his associates, who have been in hiding for a long time, has brought relief to the common people of the Chittagong region.
