Bulbul’s relief at ‘convinced’ India to join online

BCB was in trouble for hosting the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting. Aminul Islam Bulbul had created trouble while organizing the meeting at the behest of the Pakistan Cricket Board and ACC President Mohsin Naqvi. India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan were left in the lurch. However, he was saved for the time being by expressing regret in the end. India has agreed to join the ACC meeting online, even though it will not be held in person.

The ACC meeting is mainly about the Asia Cup. And the Asia Cup depends on India. They are the hosts of the Asia Cup, so only if India plays, the tournament will be a commercial success. So there is no way forward without India.

If India is not present at the ACC meeting, then no decision will be effective. In this situation, Bulbul continued to try. He used his old acquaintance with BJP leader and Indian Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. He arrested Anurag Thakur and staged a dharna with BCCI high officials.
After Bulbul’s repeated attempts and pleas, India agreed to join the online meeting and maintain the standards.

With a smile on his face as the pressure on his head was lifted, Bulbul told the media, “I have been making several plans for the past two days. First of all, cricket. If there was any misunderstanding among us, since we are organizing the ACC AGM in Bangladesh, we have been able to convince everyone with the help of everyone for the sake of cricket. Those who cannot come are joining online. Sri Lanka has confirmed that they will join online, India has also said that they will be joining online.”

He said that it is not worth going into detail about the many things that Bulbul himself did to convince India, saying, “I will not go into detail here. But Bangladesh can be proud. I can be proud of the work we have done as a representative of Bangladesh.”

Even after the ACC meeting, it is still difficult to say whether the Asia Cup will be held in September. Although there is a lot of pressure from broadcasters. The India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup means huge business.
