Tarique Rahman Assures Hefazat-e-Islam of Moving Forward Together

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has expressed his interest in keeping Hefazat-e-Islam by his side in future politics. He expressed his determination to conduct politics with this Islamic organization in the future as well, as in the past.

The Prime Minister made these remarks during a special meeting with Allama Shah Muhibullah Babunagri, Ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, at the traditional Al Jamiatul Islamia Babunagri Madrasa in Fatikchhari Upazila of Chittagong on Sunday afternoon, August 9.

Earlier, the helicopter carrying the Prime Minister landed in the Paindang area of ​​Fatikchhari around 3 pm. From there, she reached Babunagar Madrasa by road amidst tight security and inquired about the physical condition of Hefazat Amir and prayed for him.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman recalled the election period and said, “The way you were by my side during the election, I want to be by your side in the future as well. Together with you, we will take the country forward.”

He also noted that although the past crisis period has been overcome, not all problems have been resolved.

Local dignitaries, madrasa teachers and senior government officials were present at the meeting. There was great enthusiasm in Fatikchhari and the surrounding areas surrounding the meeting between the Prime Minister and the Hefazat Amir.
