Bangladesh add another spinner to squad to win series in spin heaven

Bangladesh have added a spinner to their squad to win the series in the fearsome spin heaven of Mirpur. Left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed has been included in Bangladesh’s ODI squad for the ongoing West Indies series.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the matter through a press release on Sunday.

The 30-year-old Nasum has so far taken 16 wickets in 18 ODIs at an economy rate of 4.48. He last played an ODI in December 2024.

Bangladesh currently lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first match of the series by 74 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday.

The second and third ODIs will be held at the same venue on October 21 and 23 respectively.
