Terrorists from BNP’s affiliate Chhatra Dal committed mob violence against a group of teenagers who shouted ‘Joy Bangla’ slogans in a pickup van on their way home from a fair in Senbagh, Noakhali.

The incident took place on Friday night, October 2, in the Bhuiyan Dighi area of ​​the upazila.

Accused of holding a procession and raising slogans, the terrorist leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal led a mob and arrested 9 teenagers, later handing them over to the Senbagh police station.

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the detainees are between the ages of 14 and 17.

According to local and police sources, an empty pickup truck that left Chowmuhani on Friday night was heading towards Sebarhat along the Feni-Noakhali highway. When the vehicle reached in front of Senbag Upazila Stadium, a group of teenagers stopped the vehicle and got out to go to Sebarhat. After starting the journey, the teenagers loudly shouted ‘Joy Bangla’ slogans when they reached the Bhuiyar Dighi area of ​​the highway.

The pickup truck was crossing the Senbagh road when the incident came to the attention of local Chhatra Dal terrorists. They then followed the pickup truck on a motorcycle and stopped it at the Bhuiyan Dighi area. From there, they carried out mob violence and beat up nine teenagers.

At this time, some others in the car managed to escape. After informing the police, a team from Senbagh Police Station reached the spot and arrested the teenagers who were the victims of the mob.

Confirming the incident, Senbagh Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Hazrat Ali Milon said that Chhatra Dal leaders and activists stopped the teenagers from moving in a pickup van on the way from Chhamir Munsirhat to Sebarhat and informed the police station. Upon receiving the information, the police went to the spot, rescued them and brought them to the police station custody. Legal action is under process in this regard.
