On Saturday, November 7, the BNP has taken up a program to broadcast party songs and speeches on microphones in various areas of Chittagong city on the occasion of its Solidarity Day. Songs were also being played on microphones in Agrabad since morning. At one point, the hugely popular song written about Sheikh Hasina was played there.

As the song was broadcast simultaneously from numerous microphones all around, people from all walks of life, from the busy common people of the commercial area of ​​Agrabad, to transport passengers, to nearby businessmen, started listening to the song in rapture. Some even sang along to the song, which has been seen in various videos.

When this scene spread on social media, it created a huge sensation.

Describing the incident as a ‘serious’ matter, police said the song was inadvertently played at a BNP program. However, BNP leaders said they did not know the details of the incident despite seeing the video on social media.

Chittagong City BNP Joint Convener (in charge of the office) Shawkat Azam Khawaja said that party songs and speeches were broadcast on microphones in different areas of the city on the occasion of the program. He came across a video of another party’s song being played at the party’s program in Agrabad. However, he could not yet confirm who played the song.

Meanwhile, Doublemooring Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arif Faisal said that a video of another song being played at a BNP program has come to their attention. The police went to the spot and spoke to the organizers of the program. The organizers said that party songs were being played from YouTube. At one point, while one song was playing after another, that song started playing. However, the song was quickly stopped. The song was not played intentionally.
