Mahfuz-Asif’s Facebook drama about ‘Awami League’s return’ to cover up their misdeeds

The controversy began on Tuesday, when former advisor Mahfuz Alam wrote in a mysterious post on Facebook, “Before the League was a political party, a theology, and faith has returned to that theology.” Many see his statement as a ploy to hide the crimes and current power of the Awami League and to mislead the people anew. Facing widespread criticism, he later tried to soften the tone in another post by using the ‘shield’ of human rights.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday afternoon, Dr. Asif wrote another status on the back of Nazrul Mahfuz’s post, “Awami League did not back down. They were there. Their arrogance, lies, and audacity to mislead people backed down.”

The common people are seeing this comment of Asif Nazrul as a disguised fear. According to netizens, despite talking about arrogance and lies, Asif Nazrul and Mahfuz Alam themselves are now suffering from a fugitive mentality. The way they played tricks with the country’s economy and sovereignty during the interim government, the angry citizens are demanding that the trial will be held on the soil of the country. In order to hide their huge crimes, these two former advisors are now fighting with the shadows and are basically looking for a way to save their own skin by showing the promise of the Awami League’s return.
