In the murder of Ganapati Chakraborty’s family, it is clear that there are people and things behind the murder whose identities will be held accountable by the government if they are revealed. All this drama is because the government doesn’t want to take responsibility.

Meanwhile, a Salafi is being made the Minister of Religion. Members of the army break sculptures when the government falls. Keeping the army in front, the Yunus era and the last six months have been trying to close shrines and religious places.

The army chief issued a fatwa of blasphemy. The army stopped Shikha Anirban. We know whose signature these are.

Local organizers have given a bond to the Towhidi community that there will be a boat race in Sylhet this year, but it will not be held again next year.

The same monotheistic crowd has demanded the closure of various shrines across the country and the closure of Urs. Except for a couple of concerts in big cities, all music, musical, art and cultural events have been closed everywhere in the country.

No matter how much the BNP-Jamaat-Senabahini government tries to put on a secular facade from before the elections until now, the government is run by Salafis-Wahhabis.

It is very important for Hindus to unite in this situation. Because in all these situations, they are the first to be hit. This time too, it is happening silently.

When mass attacks on Hindus began in August 2024, Chinmoy Das single-handedly organized a protest and thwarted the plan to kill Hindus. That anger and rage has kept him in jail to this day.

The Hindu community will need many such Chinmoy Das now. After the murder of Ganapati Chakraborty’s family, the body of a Hindu teacher of Notre Dame College was found in his house. The police say it was suicide. Somewhere 3-4 people are drowning and dying at the same time. How many such people have died so far!

If more Chinmoy Dasheras don’t take to the streets with everyone, no one will be saved from the Wahhabi-Salafi government. Everyone is in the serial.

Although Hindus were few in number, their contribution to the independence of Bangladesh was immense. Hindus were a target community of Pakistan and the Razakars.

Hindus were a large number of victims of indiscriminate genocide and refugees in India, at least in proportion to the population.

The same thing will happen in 2026. The government of Bangladesh will not protect the Hindus of Bangladesh, nor will India. It has its own politics, economic and diplomatic calculations.

Hindus in Bangladesh will have to fight their own battles like Chinmoy Das. There are good people in every country in the world. Bad people too. The problem is that the good people remain silent most of the time.

However, if Hindus protest, surely many good people in society, especially those from the Bengali Muslim community who embrace humanity, will also support and cooperate.

And we are here, we will stay.
