An objectionable video of Maulana Abbas Uddin, the secretary of the Bhola (South) district Islami Andolan Bangladesh-IAB, with a ‘stranger woman’ has gone viral on social media. The party has suspended all of his organizational posts after criticism was raised over the incident.

At the same time, a five-member special committee has been formed to investigate the incident.

Regarding the viral video, Maulana Abbas Uddin claimed that the video was six-seven months ago and that the woman was his wife. It was a scene of their private moment.

But he said he did not know who intentionally spread the video on social media.

In this regard, Principal Sirajul Islam, Organizing Secretary of the Barisal Division of IAB, said that a special five-member committee has been formed to investigate the incident.

Specific organizational measures will be taken quickly based on the investigation. Our organization is always steadfast and steadfast towards its policies and ideals. We are determined to take strict action against anyone who tarnishes the image of the organization or acts outside the organizational policies.
