Three School Students Go Missing While Bathing in Meghna River in Sonargaon, Narayanganj

Three schoolchildren have gone missing after going for a bath in the Meghna River in Bhatibandar area of ​​Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon. They have not been found even after an hour and a half of going missing. A fire service diving team is working to rescue them.

The missing students are Arifin (15) and Ashiqin (15), twin sons of Md. Faruk from Bari Majlis area of ​​Mograpara Union, and Abir (14), son of Abdul Alin from the same area.

According to the fire service and local sources, Arifin and Ashiqin are ninth grade students of Mograpara HJGGS Smriti Government Vidyalaya. Abir is in eighth grade of the same school. They left home on Sunday, saying they were going to school. Later, the four friends went to bathe in the Meghna River in Bhatibandar area. After some time, one of them came out of the water. But Arifin, Ashiqin and Abir drowned in the water.

After the incident, locals tried to rescue them but could not find them. Later, a fire service diving team reached the spot and started a rescue operation.
