The US Navy’s mine countermeasures ship USS Warrior (MCM-10) has arrived in Chittagong to participate in the ‘Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training’ (CARAT) Bangladesh-2026 joint exercise with the Bangladesh Navy.

The US Navy ship arrived in Chittagong today, Sunday, November 1st.

The exercise will be held from November 2 to 6.

Upon the ship’s arrival at Chittagong Port, its sailors and crew members were welcomed by Acting US Defense Attaché Major Kirsten Fletcher.

Mara Bird, acting spokesperson for the US Embassy in Dhaka, said that the CARAT Bangladesh-2026 exercise reflects the United States’ commitment to working together with the Bangladesh Armed Forces to address common maritime security challenges in the region.

He claims that this exercise will not only strengthen the US-Bangladesh partnership but will also play a role in making the United States stronger and more prosperous.
