Child’s body wrapped in towel recovered from bathroom of Illuminated Quran Madrasa! Signs in anal canal

Police have recovered the hanging body of a student named Abdullah (10) from the bathroom of a Hafezi Madrasa in the Banasree area of ​​Rampura in the capital.

The body, with a towel wrapped around its neck, was recovered from the bathroom of the Illuminated Quran International Hifz Madrasa in Banasree C Block at around 11:30 pm on Tuesday, May 20.

Confirming the incident, Rampura Police Station SI Md. Saiful Islam said that after receiving the information, the police went to the spot and found Abdullah’s body hanging with a towel in the bathroom of the madrasa. Later, after the legal process, the body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy on Wednesday morning.

SI Saiful further said that no external injuries or signs of injury were seen on the body of the deceased child. However, during the examination, unusual and serious injuries were noticed on the child’s anus. He said that the real cause of death can be confirmed only after receiving the autopsy report.

After reviewing the evidence, the police initially suspect that the child may have been brutally raped or sexually abused before being hung in the bathroom. Police are investigating whether the child, unable to bear the brutal torture or fearing public shame, chose to commit suicide, or whether she was tortured and then strangled to death and hung to cover up the crime.

Police said the deceased’s relatives have been informed. Abdullah’s father lives abroad. It is also reported that the madrasa authorities have contacted his father by mobile phone.

The deceased, Abdullah Chapainawabganj, was the son of Abul Kalam Azad, an expatriate from Sadar Upazila. He was studying in the Hifz department of the Illuminated Quran International Hifz Madrasa in Banasree and lived there.
