Tarique Rahman’s Wife Zubaida Rahman to Receive Family Card, State Minister Shahe Alam Confirms

Mir Shahe Alam, State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, gave an exceptional and sensational message about the ‘Family Card’ project.

He said that 40 million families in the country will be brought under this government benefit, while the Prime Minister’s wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, will also receive the card as usual.

He made these remarks while distributing the Prime Minister’s financial assistance checks to flood victims in Banshkhali, Chittagong today, Thursday, September 24.

The State Minister said that the government led by Tarique Rahman is committed to ensuring service to the people in a completely impartial manner. There is no scope for nepotism or corruption in this special ‘signature project’ of the government.

He claimed that no one will have to pay a single taka bribe for the family card. It will reach every household in phases. This is a policy decision of the BNP.

The program highlighted the flood situation in Banshkhali, Chandanaish and Satkania, which were recently affected by landslides and sudden heavy rains.

Noting that the people of this region have not experienced such a major natural disaster since the terrible cyclone and tidal wave of 1991, the State Minister said that the government and the district administration have been by the side of the affected people from the beginning to deal with this sudden situation.

Chittagong-12 constituency MP Enamul Haque Enam, Chittagong District Council Chairman Mahbuber Rahman Shamim and top leaders of local BNP and administration were present at the event.
