Awami League President Beaten to Death with Iron Rods Under the Leadership of a Jubo Dal Leader in Bogura

A group of terrorists led by local Jubo Dal leader Nantu beat and killed an Awami League leader named Moslem Uddin Pramanik (62) in Sariakandi, Bogra, over a land dispute.

Moslem Uddin died while undergoing treatment at Bogra Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning, August 4.

Earlier, on Monday night, August 3, the armed attack on him took place in the Nantur Mor Bazar area of ​​Pakuria Char in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Moslem Uddin, son of Abdul Mannan Pramanik of Patuar Char village in Kazla union of Sariakandi upazila. He was the president of Ward No. 7 Awami League of Kazla union.

Local sources said that Moslem Uddin had a long-standing dispute with Nantu Sarkar, a ward youth party member and son of Dudu Sarkar from the same village, over the sale of land and grazing land. It is alleged that the attack took place due to that dispute.

According to the complaint, Moslem Uddin was stopped on his way home from Pakuria Bazar after drinking tea around 8 pm on Monday. At that time, some terrorists led by Jubo Dal leader Nantu Sarkar attacked him with country-made weapons and iron rods.

He was rescued in a seriously injured condition and admitted to Bogra Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where he died during treatment.

Accused Jubo Dal leader Nantu Sarkar has been on the run since the incident.

Relatives of the deceased said that Moslem Uddin was returning home from Nantur More Bazar in Pakuria Char on Monday night. At that time, Jubo Dal terrorists ambushed him with rods. He was admitted to Bogra Shajimech Hospital in serious condition and died this morning.

The deceased’s son, Nahid Hasan, claimed that his father was killed in a planned manner due to an ongoing land dispute.

In this regard, Sariakandi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) A.K.M. Asaduzzaman said, the police are aware of the incident. Initially, it is believed that the murder took place due to a land dispute. The matter will be investigated and necessary legal action will be taken.
