After denying the Prime Minister’s order to resign from the post of State Minister for Liberation War Affairs, Ishraq Hossain has now announced his final resignation himself. In a post on his verified Facebook page on Monday (October 19) morning, he said that he will announce his resignation in front of journalists at the National Press Club at 2 pm.

Ishraq’s Facebook post begins with the statement that “the text has been edited to maintain the original message and emotion by correcting spelling, grammar, and punctuation.” This has led to speculation about whether the post was created using artificial intelligence (AI) like ChatGPT. However, he edited the post six minutes later and deleted the above portion.

In a Facebook post, Ishraq Hossain wrote, “I will make the final announcement of my resignation from the post of State Minister of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs at the National Press Club today at 2 pm and will face the journalists, InshaAllah.”

In another part of the post, he wrote that he had seen some people writing joyfully on Facebook. He also expressed hope that if there is a need for movement and struggle in the future, they will return home from abroad inspired by nationalist ideals.

Earlier, there was a denial of the news of the state minister’s resignation and the fact that he was ordered to resign. But on Monday morning, Ishraq made a final announcement of his resignation in his own Facebook post, which brought the matter into fresh discussion.

Ishraq Hossain, who studied engineering in the US, has mentioned the issue of spelling, grammar and punctuation correction separately in his post.
