The procession of child deaths due to measles and measles symptoms in the country is not stopping. In the last 24 hours, 4 more children have lost their lives due to measles symptoms in the outbreak that started on March 15. As a result, the total number of deaths due to this disease and its symptoms in the last six months has reached 1,057. According to the latest information from the Directorate General of Health Services, the situation has now taken a serious turn for the worse.

According to the data obtained by analyzing the department’s regular emergency health bulletins, 88 people have been confirmed to have measles in the past day. At the same time, signs and symptoms of measles have been seen in 1,148 people. Of the 4 children who died with symptoms, 2 are from Dhaka division, 1 from Chittagong and 1 from Mymensingh division. However, it is encouraging that no new deaths due to confirmed measles have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
