Ronaldo Moves Closer to 1,000 Career Goals With 15-Minute Hat Trick

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been in fine form in the Saudi Professional League, scoring a hat-trick in just 15 minutes to give Al-Nasr a thrilling 5-3 win and move closer to the historic 1,000th career goal.

The first half of the match against Al-Khulud at Al-Awal Park in Riyadh ended in a 2-2 draw. The 41-year-old superstar then took complete control of the match.

* First goal (66 minutes): Ronaldo sent the ball into the net with a perfect finish from Joao Felix.
* Second goal (72 minutes): Six minutes later, he scored his second goal with a powerful shot after receiving the ball in the empty space in the box from Felix’s assist.
* Hat-trick goal (81 minutes): Sadio Mane’s perfect cross completed his hat-trick with a great header to secure a 5-2 lead for the team. Later, Al-Khulud made amends with a penalty in the end, but Al-Nasr’s victory could not be prevented.

The hat-trick took Ronaldo’s total senior career goals to 985. He needs just 15 more goals to become the first footballer in history to reach the unique milestone of 1,000 goals.
It was Ronaldo’s 67th hat-trick of his career for club and Portugal. It was his seventh hat-trick in the Al-Nasr jersey since joining Saudi Arabia in 2023.

Expressing his joy after the match, Ronaldo wrote on social media, “Great win and great performance from the team. I’m very happy to help the team with a hat-trick!”
With this victory, Al-Nasr has strengthened their position in second place in the Saudi Professional League points table with 28 points from 11 matches.
