Bomb-Like Object Found on Railway Track: Rail Communication with Dhaka, Northern Regions Disrupted

Rail communication between North Bengal and various regions, including Dhaka, has been disrupted after a bomb-like object was found on the railway line at a place called Shahagola, between Atrai and Raninagar stations in Naogaon.

On September 19, at around 9 pm, an unknown person called the railway authorities and reported seeing bomb-like objects there. Later, railway workers from the local station went to the spot and found several bombs locked horizontally along the railway line.

Following the incident, rail connections between Dhaka and various districts of North Bengal were suspended. Law enforcement agencies have also been informed.

However, no official statement has been received from the police or administration so far.

Raninagar station officials, on condition of anonymity, said that rail services have been suspended for the time being for safety reasons. Details will be revealed after receiving instructions from the administration.

Meanwhile, news of a bomb being planted on the railway line has created widespread panic in Shahagola Union No. 1 of Atrai Upazila and surrounding areas. The situation in the area is tense till the latest news is received.
