Brutal Killing in the Hills: Youth Hacked to Death After Being Called Out of Home in Cox’s Bazar

A brutal murder has taken place in Jadi Pahar, Cox’s Bazar Municipality. A young man was called from his house due to a previous dispute, drunk and stabbed to death. The deceased has been identified as Saiful Islam (31). He is the son of Mohammad Hossain of Paschim Pahartali area of ​​Ward No. 7 of the municipality. The brutal murder took place on Sunday (September 20) afternoon in Jadi Pahar, adjacent to Boyllya Para, Ward No. 7 of Cox’s Bazar Municipality.

According to police and relatives of the deceased, around 10 am on Sunday, some young men they knew called Saiful from his house and took him to the secluded Jadi Hills. There, they all drank alcohol together. At one point during the drinking, Saiful and others started arguing about motorcycle sales and drug dealing. When the argument broke out between the two, the accomplices randomly stabbed Saiful with a sharp knife and fled, leaving him bleeding.

Later, locals quickly rescued him and took him to Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Mohammad Ali said that initial investigation revealed that the murder was the result of a previous enmity. Police have been able to identify the accused involved in the incident and a special police operation has been intensified to arrest them.

The body of the deceased has been kept at the Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
